Welcome to Behind the Canvas. By using this website or purchasing from us, you agree to the terms below.

1. Our Products

Behind the Canvas sells open-edition, museum-grade paper prints of original paintings by Aigana Gali. Prints are unsigned and unnumbered, made to order, and printed on 250gsm acid-free, FSC-certified matte paper. Purchasing a print does not constitute purchasing an original painting; Aigana's original works are represented separately through galleries (see aiganagali.com).

2. Intellectual Property

All artwork, images, and designs featured on Behind the Canvas products are original works by Aigana Gali and are protected by copyright. Aigana Gali retains all intellectual property rights in the artwork depicted on every print, regardless of the format in which it is sold or displayed.

When you purchase a print, you are purchasing a physical copy of the artwork for personal, non-commercial use. This purchase does not transfer any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights in the underlying artwork to you.

You may:
— Display the print in your home or personal space
— Photograph or film the print as part of a broader personal scene — for example, as part of your home, interior, or lifestyle content on personal social media, blogs, or portfolios — provided the print appears as a physical object within that scene

You may not, without prior written permission from Behind the Canvas or Aigana Gali:
— Reproduce, scan, photograph, crop, or otherwise extract the artwork itself for use independent of the physical print
— Use the artwork, in whole or in part, in your own designs, marketing materials, merchandise, products, packaging, or commercial content of any kind
— Modify, adapt, recolor, or create derivative works based on the artwork
— Use the artwork as a reference, template, or training material for other creative or commercial work
— Resell, sublicense, or redistribute copies of the artwork in any digital or physical form

This restriction applies to the artwork itself, however it is presented — cropped, edited, isolated from its frame, or otherwise — and is separate from, and does not restrict, the personal display and photography use described above.

3. Orders and Payment

All prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout. Orders are confirmed once payment is successfully processed. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud or pricing error, with a full refund issued.

4. Shipping and Returns

Shipping and returns are governed by our separate Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, available on this site.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your order or use of this site is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, such as inconvenience or loss of enjoyment, arising from your purchase.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of this site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
