Aigana Gali is a multidisciplinary artist working across canvas, paper, textiles, and bronze. Born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and raised in the Eurasian Steppe, she now lives and works in London. Her work has been shown at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, Saatchi Gallery, and the Georgian National Museum of Art, among others.

Behind the Canvas is Aigana's own shop — a way to share her work with people who love it but aren't in the market for an original painting. Every image here is drawn from a real painting, currently part of her Tengri series, printed on museum-grade archival paper.

These are open-edition prints: unsigned and unnumbered, printed to order rather than produced in a fixed number. They are not the same object as Aigana's original paintings, which are shown and represented internationally through galleries — you can see her full body of work, exhibition history, and current representation at aiganagali.com.
